Homeopathic Remedies for Hemorrhoids

Homeopathy dates back thousands of years.

Homeopathy was first described in 1796 although it’s origins begin with the ancient Egyptians, Druids, Aztecs and eventually gave birth to modern medicine as we know it.

In homeopathy the active ingredient is substantially diluted and has led some to suggest that any perceived benefits come from its placebo effect. Despite a number of studies there is no empirical evidence that Homeopathy works.

Edzard Ernst, a professor of complementary medicine, has criticized pharmacists for selling homeopathic remedies and The Royal Pharmaceutical Society has been asked to punish medical professionals who prescribe homeopathic remedies without first informing patients that the treatment contains no active ingredients.

Britain’s National Health Service has been criticized after it opened an £11 million pound Homeopathy Center but has defended its move.

Many Hemorrhoid treatments available solely online are homeopathic containing no active ingredients and are often far more expensive than treatments proven to help with symptoms available from the high street.

The only known real cure for hemorrhoids is in fact surgery of one form or another and even after removal, there is no guarantee that hemorrhoids will not return.
